Local Detail
Rayleigh and the Rochford peninsula sit close enough to the Crouch and Roach estuaries that salt-laden air is a real factor. We specify marine-grade polyester powder-coat and stainless fixings on aluminium installations across SS4–SS6 as standard, not as an upgrade.
Property mix runs from 1930s and 1970s semi-detached up through Eastwood and Hawkwell to large detached bungalows in Hullbridge and Hockley — which is where most of our roof-lantern and bi-fold work lands.
We cover Rochford to Rayleigh High Street and out toward the river. Rochford District Council handles building control across most of the area, with Certass notification done on your behalf. Most Rayleigh quote slots are diaried inside five working days.
Housing stock we work with here: 1930s/1970s semis, large detached bungalows in Hullbridge and Hockley, and a noticeable proportion of estuary-facing properties exposed to salt weathering.
Our vans are around Rayleigh Mount, the Crouch estuary, Rochford Airport most weeks, so survey and aftercare visits in Rayleigh are easy to diarise.
Why Us
Marine polyester powder-coat and 316 stainless fixings on every aluminium install in SS4–SS6 — no upgrade fee.
slim-frame aluminium window systems, Origin and premium aluminium window systems — installed weekly across Rayleigh and the Rochford peninsula.
Quote slots 7am–8pm seven days a week. Saturday slots fill fastest in Rayleigh.
Same in-house crew on every job — both experienced, both in-house, not agency.
Larger Rayleigh and Hullbridge plots typically warrant 4–6 panel bi-folds and 3m+ lanterns. We've fitted both regularly across the area.
On every install, written into your quote. Aftercare adjustments included for 12 months.
What goes wrong
Lower-spec frames with thin powder-coat fade and pit on estuary-facing elevations within 5–7 years. Marine-grade is the only sensible spec south of the A127 east of Rayleigh.
Salt-laden wind drives water into older gaskets faster than inland. We replace gaskets as part of any aluminium retrofit.
Estuary side properties get fine grit in the bottom track. We specify slightly oversized sweep brushes and recommend annual track-clean — much easier on the rollers.
South-facing PVC frames on '90s installs bow noticeably in July/August. Aluminium doesn't move — for west and south elevations it's the right answer.
Process
01
We measure the opening, check the threshold and the lintel, and talk through pane counts and stacking direction on site.
02
Pane split, stacking side, traffic door position, RAL frame colour, glass spec and threshold type — all confirmed in writing.
03
Frames are made to your surveyed sizes. We confirm the install date once they leave the factory.
04
Old doors out, track laser-levelled and DPM'd, frames set square, every panel tested through its full fold before we leave.
05
Operation walk-through, Certass notification within 30 days, and a 10-year workmanship guarantee in writing.
